3 Times a Charm

Yesterday marked the third sweet year of the day ErnieGirl came into our lives. Without her, we'd probably worry less, spend less but also laugh less. Life with a dog cannot be beat. Especially one who has equally as much sweet.......

18 Weeks

All the pictures Pete took of me and the 18 week belly are pretty hideous this week. So here's one that's half decent. Don't laugh too hard....

While it certainly looks like I started to pop a few weeks ago based on the pictures, when I dress normally and don't hold my belly, people actually can't tell I'm pregnant unless they already know.  (Or maybe that's wishful thinking?)

I ended up changing the date of my ultrasound. It was supposed to be last Friday, but I rescheduled for  November 8th. Pete couldn't make it and we wanted to be sure our little pumpkin was big enough to get a clear picture of his/her development.

Speaking of his or her... at this moment in time, we are keeping it a surprise. Even though I'm dying to know, I have a pretty strong opinion and I think Pete does as well ;) I'm happy to report that our great minds think alike.

Happy Halloween Weekend!

Pumpkins... Finally!

Generally, I am a Halloween junkie, however this year I'm a little late on the festivities and I didn't even drag Pete to the pumpkin patch like I normally do. He's relieved, considering we are usually the only couple on the hayride without a child... or several. I figured next year we would go all out since we'll finally fit right in, juggling a squirmy kid and armfuls of pumpkins. I really can't wait. So, here's the pretty pumpkins I picked up today (with my assistant) at the local nursery. Tomorrow we are going to carve them up with a few friends.

16 Weeks

I missed the 15 week belly, but that's ok, because I think there's more to show off at 16 weeks anyway. I'm feeling soooo much better and eating normally most of the time. I still find myself getting sick on occasion but my appetite bounces back right away and I don't have nausea all day long. I am just so happy to feel hungry again. I am getting my "half way" ultrasound done at 18 weeks because that's when they could get me in... which means it's in just two weeks. Hopefully everything will look good and is right on track!

My other most exciting news at this point is I can feel little pulses of movement. They are still too subtle to pick up from the outside, but the first time I felt it was so special. I can't wait for Pete to feel his first real kick...
